Tears as Sammie Okposo is laid to rest in Lagos

Popular gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, has been buried in Lagos State.

Tears, however, flowed freely on Thursday as family members and friends bid the singer, who died on November 25, farewell.

The three-day burial arrangements had started on Tuesday with service of songs and farewell praise party at La Madison Place, Oniru, Lagos State.

Okposo’s colleagues were also present at the event to honour and celebrate the life and times of the famous singer.

A service of song was held on Wednesday in the honour of Okposo who was said to have died in his sleep.

On Thursday, his wife, children, family members, and colleagues gathered at the burial site to give the singer a private internment as those who attended couldn’t hold back tears when his body was being lowered into the grave.
