Teenage boy drown in Kano

A 17-year-old boy drowned at Titin Jajira in Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, the state fire service has confirmed.

The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, on Monday.

Abdullahi stated that the service’s rescue team brought the boy out of a pond on Sunday, but was later confirmed dead by a doctor.

He noted that the corpse has been handed over to the police at Bachirawa Police Divisional headquarters.

“The fire service will continue to investigate the incident,” Abdullahi added.
