Tension at Kubwa hospital as naval personnel clash with staff following colleague’s death

A clash erupted late Saturday night at Kubwa General Hospital after naval personnel accused hospital staff of negligence following the death of a colleague.

Preliminary reports indicate that the naval officer, involved in an accident, was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Frustrated colleagues arrived shortly afterward and alleged that the medical staff had failed to act promptly, sparking a confrontation.

During the commotion, a soldier reportedly smashed the hospital reception’s glass window with his fist.

Police operatives quickly intervened, de-escalating the situation and persuading the military personnel to leave the premises.

Hospital operations have since returned to normal, while authorities continue discussions with military representatives to prevent a similar incident in the future.
