Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have abducted the traditional ruler of Owa-Onire in Kwara State, AbdulRahaman Ifabiyi, his wife, and driver.
This was confirmed by the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, on Saturday.
Ajayi stated that two suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the abduction, adding: “Even though the wife of the king had been saved, efforts were still being made to save the other two victims.

“Also, the state police commissioner, Paul Odama, has sent teams of investigators and the vigilante to the scene.”

The police spokesperson said a detailed report would be made available to newsmen as soon as investigation into the matter was concluded.
