Solomon, on Monday, said the gunmen entered the house while the soldier was discussing with his family members.

He said: “The incident occurred at about 11 p.m. on Sunday when the bandits wielding AK-47 rifles invaded the house to abduct the stepmother, but the soldier resisted.

“Meanwhile, the gunmen notice his uniform hanging on the cushion and resort to gunning him down without hesitation.”

The Nigerian Army and the Kaduna State Police Command are yet to speak on the incident.
