Tinubu appoints Uba Sani Renewed Hope ambassador, Deputy DG for party mobilisation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for party outreach, engagement, and mobilisation.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Tinubu, in his capacity as leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), cited Sani’s leadership and organisational skills as key reasons for his selection.

Under the new role, the Kaduna governor is expected to work closely with the director-general of the Renewed Hope Ambassador programme and the party’s leadership, particularly the APC national chairman, to promote coordination, inclusiveness, and effective mobilisation across party structures nationwide.

According to the statement, Sani will help galvanise support for the party by promoting its policies, programmes, achievements, and milestones, with the aim of strengthening public confidence and expanding national acceptance of the APC’s agenda.

In a letter conveying the appointment, Tinubu said the objective is to ensure citizens are well-informed about the party’s vision and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election,” the President wrote, noting that preparation and strategic leadership would be critical to achieving the goal.

Sani’s appointment adds to his responsibilities as governor, positioning him to play a central role in the party’s nationwide mobilisation efforts.
