Some stalwarts of the ruling All Progressives Congress, on Saturday, stormed Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, to attend the wedding ceremony of the daughter of the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, and the son of former FCT Minister, Ibrahim Bunu.
Shettima’s daughter, Fatima, tied the knot with her heartthrob, Sadiq Bunu, at the palace of Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Garbai Elkanemi.
Other dignitaries at the event include President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd ); APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu; and APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Others include Governors Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Abubakar Bagudu (Jigawa), and Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto).
Other dignitaries that graced the wedding ceremony were business Moguls, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Alhaji Mohammad Indimi, and Alhaji Tahir Manga; the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, among others.
Former Governor of Bauchi State, Adamu Muazu, stood as the groom’s father who also accepted the wedding vows on behalf of the groom, while the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, stood in for the bride.
The wedding vows were received and accepted by both representatives of the bride and the groom with the bride price of 12 gold coins.
