President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday welcomed a high-level delegation from the World Bank at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The team was led by the World Bank’s Managing Director of Operations, Anna Bjerde.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, along with other senior government officials, were also present at the meeting.
The development was disclosed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He noted that Tinubu and Shettima received the World Bank delegation at the State House on February 3, 2026.
However, details of the discussions were not made public as of the time of reporting.
The visit comes less than two days after Bjerde led another World Bank delegation to Lagos, where they met with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House, Marina.
The team also included Ethiopia Tafara, the International Finance Corporation’s Regional Vice President for Africa.
