President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate construction of two hostels with a combined capacity of 600 students for the Nigerian Law School in Abuja.
According to a statement issued Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Lere Olayinka, the project will be executed under emergency consideration.
The directive also covers the construction of a road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi District with Nile University.
The road, once completed, is expected to ease traffic congestion around the area, particularly the route leading to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The plan provides for a 300-capacity hostel each for male and female students of the Nigerian Law School, aimed at addressing accommodation challenges.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has been instructed to commence the projects without delay.
