The National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, says he has no son grown up enough to contest for presidency.
Tinubu said this in his reaction to the formal declaration by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to contest the 2023 presidential election.
The Star had earlier reported that the former Lagos State Governor met with no fewer than 14 governors elected on the platform of the ruling party on Monday in Abuja.
Tinubu’s meeting came a few hours after Osinbajo held a similar meeting with APC governors and formally declared his intention to contest the 2023 Presidency.

However, the APC chieftain, who spoke to newsmen after the meeting on Monday, said: “My mission here is to seek collaboration, support, and encouragement of my party for my ambition to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a replacement for President Muhammadu Buhari after his tenure.”
When asked about Osinbajo’s declaration, the former governor, said: “I don’t have any son grown up enough to make such declaration.”
With Osinbajo’s declaration on Monday, the Vice President will struggle for the presidential ticket of the ruling APC with the likes of Bola Tinubu, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzo Kalu; CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, and Senator Rochas Okorocha.
