Tinubu prays for peace, unity in Nigeria during Umrah

President Bola Tinubu has prayed for lasting peace, national unity and an end to insecurity in Nigeria after performing Umrah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.

Tinubu also asked Allah to guide the country’s leaders with wisdom, strengthen bonds among Nigerians and help the country overcome its challenges.

The President performed the Islamic pilgrimage at the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, where he circumambulated the Holy Ka’bah in worship and thanksgiving.

Speaking to journalists after the exercise, Tinubu described the pilgrimage as significant, linking it to his commitment to Nigeria, its people and his faith.

“I believe this Umrah is very significant for the love of our people, commitment to the job and our country, Nigeria; commitment to the will of Allah that His words must prevail,” he said.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to a peaceful and prosperous country where Nigerians, regardless of their religious or social backgrounds, can live in safety and dignity.
