Tinubu swears in Aminu Yusuf as NPC chair, commissioners, five permanent secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Aminu Yusuf as the new Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), alongside two newly appointed commissioners, during the first segment of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Yusuf, from Niger State, was confirmed by the Senate on October 22, 2025.

Joseph Haruna Kigbu of Nasarawa State and Tonga Betara Bularafa of Yobe State were confirmed as commissioners of the commission.

The ceremony also saw the swearing-in of five permanent secretaries.
