Tinubu: Uncivilised people deriding Shettima’s outfit at NBA conference

The Tinubu campaign organisation has said the people who ridiculed the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, for the outfit he wore to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference are “not civilised”.

Shettima’s outfit at the NBA conference on Monday elicited reactions from Nigerians with many lashing out at the former governor of Borno State for appearing in a suit and sneakers at the event.

He was dressed in a black suit and red tie, accompanied by a pair of gym shoes.

The APC vice-presidential candidate represented his principal, Bola Tinubu, at the event held at Eko Hotels, Lagos State.

The event was graced by the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively.

Shettima’s outfit, however, attracted stirred reactions from Nigerians.

Speaking on the development on Tuesday, the Director of Media, Tinubu campaign organisation, Bayo Onanuga, said: “The people who derided Senator Kashim Shettima, the APC vice-presidential candidate at the NBA conference on Monday and unleashed their Twitter dogs against him,  deserve our pity.

“They are not civilised, they are not exposed and need to be taken out to see the world, properly,” he stated.
