Transfer: Man Utd make improved bid for Mbeumo as Kepa set to finalise Arsenal move

Manchester United have made an improved bid of more than £60 million for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.

United have, as expected, gone back in with another offer for Mbeumo after having their initial bid worth up to £55 million rejected.

Brentford value Mbeumo, who effectively has two years left on his deal, at more than £60 million and are willing to listen to offers.

Liverpool are close to completing a £40 million deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Monaco are interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected in London this week to put the final touches on a £5 million switch from Chelsea to Arsenal.

Eberechi Eze is on the target list of several Champions League clubs in the Premier League including Tottenham, but nothing has advanced yet on the Crystal Palace winger.

Rob Edwards has been named as Middlesbrough’s new head coach.

Nottingham Forest and Marseille are keen on signing Jordan Henderson this summer, Sky Sports reported.

Alejandro Garnacho has fuelled speculation of a summer Manchester United exit by sharing a picture of himself in an Aston Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford’s name on the back on holiday.
