A truck driver has allegedly killed a pedestrian and a motorcyclist on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Olalekan Bakare-Oki, in a statement issued on Sunday, confirmed that the accident occurred at Iyana-Iba Flyover near Lagos State University, Ojo.
Bakare-Oki said preliminary investigations revealed that the fully-loaded truck was speeding from Volkswagen inward Badagry, knocked down a pedestrian, and failed to stop.
He stated: “A motorcyclist, accompanied by another sympathiser, pursued the fleeing truck driver, and was killed after the driver rammed into the motorcycle, while the accompanying person escaped unhurt.
