In a bid to revitalise the water supply system to ensure the availability of potable drinking water to residents of Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani has inspected the Kaduna State Water Treatment Plant in the Kakuri area of the state.

Sani inspected the plant on Friday, March 14, 2025.

The governor said the water treatment plant, among many others, has suffered neglect over the years.

He listed the efforts of the Kaduna State Government in the water sector to include the payment of N800 million as payment for all outstanding salaries and wages of Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC) staff members.

Others are: “N1.3 billion spent to settle outstanding electricity bills.

“Over N400 million spent to purchase water purification chemicals.
