Uba Sani revives 13-year abandoned Karatudu–Romi road project

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has flagged off the construction of the Karatudu–Romi road in Chikun Local Government, 13 years after the project was abandoned by successive administrations.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Sani recalled that the late Governor Patrick Yakowa had awarded the contract before his death, after which the project stalled.

He assured residents that the road—covering Karatudu township routes including Cemetery, Lusawa, School, and Jema’a roads—would be completed within eight months by a reputable contractor.

“Our government keeps its promises.

“In just over two years, we have awarded 83 road projects and completed 31.

“Politics should not be about propaganda, but about delivering projects that improve lives,” Sani stated.

The governor also highlighted ongoing and upcoming infrastructure works in the area, including the Keke–Makera and Doka Mai Jema’a–Dan Hono roads, the commissioned Water Intake–Narayi road, and the soon-to-begin Zenith Bank roundabout–Flour Mill road project.

Sani further revealed that funds have been released for the reconstruction of the long-abandoned Television Garage–Sabon Tasha road, which links four electoral wards, with work set to start next week.
