Chelsea will face holders Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, while Manchester City will battle Bayern Munich.

Graham Potter’s side saw off Borussia Dortmund to reach the last eight, while Madrid – managed by former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti – defeated Liverpool to reach the quarter-finals.

City, who are unbeaten in this season’s competition, were drawn against manager Pep Guardiola’s former club Bayern Munich.

If both Chelsea and City progress, they will meet in the semi-final – a repeat of the 2021 final which Chelsea won 1-0.

The rest of the draw sees Benfica face Inter and a Serie A derby between AC Milan and Napoli.

The quarter-final first legs will be played on April 11 and 12, with Real entertaining Chelsea at the Santiago Bernabeu first before travelling to London for the return a week later, and City at home to Bayern first.

Inter will travel to Lisbon to play Benfica for the first leg to avoid a clash with AC Milan’s meeting with Napoli at San Siro.

The second legs will be played on Tuesday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 19.

The semi-finals will be played in May with the final in Istanbul, Turkey, slated for Saturday, June 10, 2023.
