UNILAG appoints first female Vice-Chancellor, Folasade Ogunsola

Professor Folasade Ogunsola has emerged as the 13th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Ogunsola, who emerged as the first female UNILAG Vice-Chancellor, was picked on Friday by the selection committee of the institution.

She is expected to take over from the outgoing VC, Prof. Toyin Ogundipe, in November 2022.

Ogunsola was a former Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Idi Araba, Lagos State.

She also served as a deputy Vice-Chancellor to Ogundipe.
