Unilever Nigeria’s revenue rises to N59.2bn, profit hits N11.5bn in three months

Unilever Nigeria Plc has reported a strong start to 2026, with its unaudited results for the first quarter ended March 31 showing continued double-digit growth across key performance indicators.

The company recorded a 26 per cent increase in revenue to ₦59.2 billion, up from ₦46.9 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. Operating profit rose by 39 per cent to ₦11.5 billion, compared to ₦8.3 billion a year earlier, while net profit also grew by 26 per cent to ₦7.0 billion.

Commenting on the results, Managing Director, Tobi Adeniyi, described the performance as a strong continuation of the growth momentum recorded in 2025.

“Our Q1 2026 results represent a solid start to the year and demonstrate that the momentum from last year is being sustained. Growth in the quarter was largely driven by increased volumes, supported by innovation and strong execution in the marketplace,” he said.

He added that the company remains focused on delivering value through operational efficiency and disciplined execution.

Adeniyi also noted that the company would continue to enhance consumer experience while strengthening its brand portfolio and market positioning.

“We will continue to elevate the consumer experience while reinforcing a ‘play-to-win’ culture—focusing on winning with Nigerians, strengthening the desirability of our brands, and executing with speed and excellence across all categories,” he stated.

With over a century of manufacturing presence in Nigeria, the company said its products continue to reflect a legacy of quality and trust, as it remains committed to improving everyday life through its diverse range of household brands.
