UPDATED: Sanwo-Olu bans Okada in Ikeja, Lagos Island, Apapa, 12 LGs

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced a ban on motorcycles, otherwise called Okada, in some Local Government Areas of the state.

Sanwo-Olu, who gave the order while speaking with all DPOs and Area Commanders across the state at the Lagos House, Ikeja, on Wednesday, said the ban would take effect in Lagos State from June 1, 2022.

The affected Local Government Areas include Ikeja, Surulere, Eti Osa, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island, and Apapa.
