VIDEO: NDLEA nabs businessman with cocaine at Abuja airport

The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 40-year-old businessman, Ejike Chibuke Solomon, with 1.45 kilograms of cocaine concealed in his luggage while attempting to board an Ethiopia Airlines flight to Vietnam at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Ejike was arrested at the Abuja airport on Saturday, March 2, 2024, after the NDLEA officers subjected him to a thorough search.

The cocaine was thereafter discovered concealed in his bag.

Confirming the incident, the NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, in a statement issued on Sunday, March 3, said the suspect claimed he was on a business trip to Vietnam.

He noted that a 34-year-old suspect, Hassan Muhammad, was also arrested on Saturday with 44,950 pills of tramadol in the Moranti area of Borno State by the anti-narcotic officers.

Babafemi quoted the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen.
