President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for a working vacation in Europe, as part of his 2025 annual leave.
The presidential aircraft took off from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Tinubu was seen off by a delegation including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Ministers Wale Edun (Finance) and Atiku Bagudu (Budget and National Planning; and Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos) and Hope Uzodimma; among others.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga had, in a statement, disclosed that the vacation will last 10 working days.
According to him, Tinubu will spend the period between France and the UK before returning to Nigeria.
