WAEC releases 2026 first series computer-based WASSCE results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2026 First Series Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.

In a statement posted on X on Friday, the council announced that candidates would be able to access their results within 12 hours, noting that the prompt release underscores WAEC’s drive to modernize its processes through technology.

WAEC thanked stakeholders for their support during the conduct of the examination, describing the successful rollout of the computer-based format as a significant step in its ongoing reforms.

“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours,” the statement read.

The CB-WASSCE forms part of WAEC’s broader efforts to enhance efficiency and improve candidates’ examination experience through digital testing platforms.

Candidates are advised to check their results via WAEC’s official channels once they are fully accessible.
