Watford sack Claudio Ranieri as coach

Claudio Ranieri has been sacked by Watford less than four months he was appointed as the manager of the English Premier League club.

Ranieri, who was given a two-year contract after replacing Xisco Munoz on October 4, 2021, had managed only seven points from 13 Premier League games.

The Italian, who won the Premier League title with Leicester in 2015-16 season, lost to Norwich at home last Friday with 3-0.

Watford have lost seven of their previous eight EPL matches and will travel to face relegation rivals Burnley on Saturday, February 5, 2022.
