Wike appoints Sani Daura as SSA on protocol matters

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the appointment of Mr. Sani Musa Daura as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the statement, Daura is a seasoned civil servant with more than 30 years of experience in the FCT Administration’s Protocol Department. He was appointed Director of FCT Protocol in 2019 and is scheduled to retire from the civil service on January 24, 2026.

The statement noted that Daura’s appointment as Senior Special Assistant will take effect immediately after his retirement from the civil service.

The Minister expressed confidence that Daura’s wealth of experience and deep understanding of protocol matters would further strengthen the efficiency of official engagements and events within the FCT.

The appointment underscores the Minister’s commitment to leveraging institutional knowledge and professionalism in the administration of the Federal Capital Territory.
