Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has officially revealed the name of his baby daughter — Morayo Balogun — in a heartfelt tribute to his late mother.
The revelation came on Saturday via a simple tweet on his X (formerly Twitter) page, where he announced the name “Morayo Balogun” for his 6-month-old daughter with longtime partner and manager, Jada Pollock.
The name unveiling follows the child’s first public appearance last Friday at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where Wizkid, Jada, and baby Morayo attended the premiere of his documentary, Wizkid: Long Live Lagos.

Wizkid and his daughter wore matching white outfits, creating an adorable moment that quickly captured fans’ attention. Jada complemented the scene in a pink-and-white tie-dye dress with red sunglasses.
News of Morayo’s birth first surfaced in January, though she was reportedly born in late 2023. The name “Morayo” is seen as a tribute to Wizkid’s mother, who passed away in August 2023.
Wizkid and Jada Pollock also share a son, Zion Ayo-Balogun, born in 2017.
In October 2022, Jada announced the birth of their second child, before Morayo.
Their relationship, however, has had its ups and downs. In 2023, Wizkid declared himself single on social media, sparking public tension with Jada, who later criticized him for airing private matters online.
Most recently, breakup rumors resurfaced when Jada unfollowed Wizkid on Instagram.
While their joint appearance at the Tribeca Festival suggests a possible reconciliation, fans continue to speculate on the true status of their relationship.
