A 41-year-old woman, Benita Ikuenobe, has been confirmed dead in the auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.
The incident which occurred on Friday morning was confirmed by the MFM Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere, on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Ekikere told security analyst Zagazola Makama that he received a distress call at about 7:20 a.m. on Friday alerting him to an unconscious woman lying on the floor inside the church auditorium.
He disclosed that when he arrived at the scene, the woman was found unresponsive, with an empty bottle of what is believed to be a poisonous substance, identified as “Sniper”, placed beside her.
“Police officers later arrived to examine the scene. Photographs were taken for record purposes, and the body was subsequently transported to the morgue at Real Divine Hospital, where an autopsy will be carried out,” the CSO added.
