A woman, identified as Daso Umaru, was on Tuesday morning found dead with multiple knife wounds at the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that her body, discovered at about 7:00 a.m., was taken to the General Hospital, Fika, where a doctor confirmed her death before it was released to her family for burial in line with Islamic rites.
Eyewitnesses said the deceased’s son, Idi Umaru, alleged that a resident, Jauro Gambo, might be behind the killing.
Community members added that Gambo and his family went missing shortly after the incident, raising further suspicion.
Security operatives have since launched a manhunt to track him down.
