The President of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has mocked the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, for appearing with a Bible in court, saying the embattled financial guru would “still go to jail”.
The Star recalls that Emefiele, during his arraignment before a Federal High Court in Lagos in July 2023, appeared in a white kaftan, clutching a Bible tucked inside a red paperback.
The former CBN Governor was arraigned by the Federal Ministry of Justice for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
However, Apostle Suleman at a recent sermon in his church said some persons deliberately involve themselves in wickedness and end up carrying the Bible.

The cleric stated that Emefiele caused a “catastrophe” in the country with the redesigning of the naira notes over his political ambition.
He said: “There are people who are deliberately wicked; after wickedness, they will hold Bible.
“You oppressed people, you caused problems, you caused catastrophe in the country, you changed naira notes, and you’re coming out of court with Bible; you will still go to jail.
“Drop that thing (Bible), you will go to jail. People died.
“God does not empower wickedness. You cannot treat people like that. People died because you’re trying to score a political point; you’re trying to oppress, people died and you’re now coming out of court with a Bible. Massive bible bigger than the one pastors hold. You think the bigger your bible, the bigger your forgiveness of sins?”
