A young pharmacist has reportedly died during a surgical procedure to donate one of his kidneys to his ailing cousin, in what many have described as a tragic act of selflessness.

The incident has sparked grief among family, friends and social media users, who paid tribute to the late health professional for his generosity and compassionate nature.

The news was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @sk_bongomin93, who described the pharmacist as someone who consistently put others before himself.

According to the post, he had voluntarily agreed to donate his kidney to his cousin, who urgently required a transplant. However, complications reportedly arose during the surgery, and he passed away in the course of the procedure.
