Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has disclosed the reasons behind his absence at the burial of his late colleague, Junior Odonwodo, fondly called Junior Pope.
The Star recalls that Junior Pope and three of his colleagues died after their boat capsized on Anam River in Anambra State on April 10, 2024.
The victims were returning from a movie location in a boat when the incident occurred.
The popular actor was laid to rest in his hometown of Ukehe in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State last Friday.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, May 21, Edochie said he didn’t mourn and attend Junior Pope’s burial because the late actor betrayed him multiple times.

The actor, however, failed to disclose what transpired between them, noting that he would soon provide more information about how Junior Pope betrayed him.
Edochie wrote: “I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since.
“I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back, repeatedly. That’s LIFE!
“I’ll drop the full details soon so others can learn from it.
