President Bola Tinubu has approved a 50 per cent reduction in price of interstate transport fare for Nigerians travelling during the yuletide from Thursday, December 21, 2023, to January 4, 2024.

Tinubu also approved free rides for commuters on all train services within the period.

The latest development was made known by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, while addressing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, December 20.

Alake, however, said air travellers were excluded from the initiative because the initiative is targeted at the masses.
