Zenith Bank set to inspire women leaders at power-packed IWD seminar

Zenith Bank Plc has announced plans to host its 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD) Seminar as part of activities marking this year’s global celebration of women.

The event, scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026, will take place at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Aligned with the 2026 global IWD theme, “Give to Gain,” the bank’s seminar is themed “Take It, You Own It.”

According to the lender, the theme underscores the need for institutions to create enabling environments for women while also encouraging women to step forward, claim opportunities, and take ownership of their personal and professional growth.

Zenith Bank said the seminar will build on the success of its previous editions, including the 2025 programme themed “Winning On All Fronts,” and is designed to deepen conversations around women’s empowerment, leadership, and sustainable impact.

Over the years, the bank’s IWD initiatives have brought together women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging talents to engage in discussions focused on gender equity, career advancement, and inclusive opportunity.

The 2026 edition is expected to convene accomplished women and progressive leaders across sectors such as business, governance, technology, creative industries, and social impact. The programme will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and creative interludes aimed at inspiring meaningful action.

Speaking ahead of the seminar, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank, Adaora Umeoji, said International Women’s Day serves as a reminder that progress requires deliberate effort.

She noted that while the global theme highlights the responsibility of institutions to create real opportunities, the bank’s theme challenges women to lead boldly and shape outcomes within their organisations and communities.

Zenith Bank reiterated its commitment to fostering inclusive platforms that amplify women’s potential and drive sustainable progress across industries and society.
