Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, says his programmes and policies in second term will remain focused on security, health, education, agriculture and food security, job creation, youth, and women empowerment, among others.
Zulum said this while receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Thursday.
“I want to assure the people of Borno State that insha Allah we will not relent in our efforts to reposition Borno State to greater heights.
“I will commit to making sure that insha’Allah, we will work 100% for the benefit of the citizens of Borno State,” the governor said.
He further expressed his gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for supporting him during his first term in office, describing him as his greatest pillar.

“Let me use this opportunity to commend the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, for his continued support to my administration. Our situation couldn’t have been like this without his support” Governor Zulum added.
The governor also appreciated the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, and the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for supporting him.
Governor Zulum also expressed appreciation to the Borno State chapter of the APC led by Ali Bukar Dalori for its support in the last three and half years.
Aside Zulum, the 28 members-elect of the Borno State House of Assembly were also presented with their Certificates of Return.
