No fewer than ten buildings were razed on Saturday after a tanker laden with 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit, well known as petrol, exploded in Olambe-Matogun Road in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The explosion was said to have occurred after the tanker driver conveying the petrol to a filling station in the area lost control of the vehicle due to the bad road.
The incident was confirmed by the South West Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye.
