The victims were among those abducted on June 19 from Birdigau village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

According to police reports, they regained their freedom on Friday around 8:30 a.m. through a coordinated security operation in the area.

Following their release, police personnel were deployed to the scene to evacuate the victims to the Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau for medical evaluation under tight security.

The Chairman of Gusau Local Government Area, Abubakar Imam, oversaw the evacuation and medical assessment process.

Authorities added that the victims would be reunited with their families in Katsina State after completing medical checks.
