2023: #Isfaa2023 set to launch for Governor Abdulrazaq’s re-election

A people’s based mass movement, tagged, ‘I sign for Abdulrahman Again (#Isfaa2023)’, is set to be launched in Kwara State to champion the call on the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for a second term in office in 2023.

The #Isfaa2023 Coordinator, Goke Folayan, made this known via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Friday night.

Folayan stated: “Since the success of Otoge political revolution in 2019, in which his excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq was elected as governor of Kwara State, the history of Kwara State has been altered forever in a positive way across all sectors and regions of the state of harmony.

“Kwara’s history can now be rightly divided into two, before and after the era of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

“The era before Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is to be known as the era of jahiliyyah (the era of ignorance) and during and after Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will be known as the era of illumination (Era of Enlightenment).”

He added that the first term of Governor Abdulrazaq was considered the era of “building block of illumination” while his second term, which #Isfaa2023 was determined to champion, would be known as “consolidation of illumination, light and enlightenment”.

“To achieve the aim of the movement, #Isfaa2023 is working to obtain 500,000 signatures from the Kwara electorates, whom we are calling upon to append their signatures to the call on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to stand as a candidate to be re-elected as governor of Kwara State in 2023 under our progressive party, APC,” Folayan noted.

He said the collation of signatures across the 193 wards would be done by the #Isfaa2023 ambassadors in each ward, under the supervision of the movement’s local government ambassadors committee.

He further stated that the names of members of each of the committees would be announced after the official launch of the program.

Folayan added that the sponsor of the initiative is a united kingdom trained lawyer, Barrister Abiola Abdulkareem, popularly known as Jagunlabi, who “appreciates good quality in governance and believes in the ideology or power emanating from the people, hence his interest in seeing this been done.”

He, therefore, called on the people of Kwara State, who joined the “Otoge movement to end the jahiliyyah era in 2019 to prepare to formally welcome and cement the permanent era of illumination in Kwara State by signing to re-elect Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq again in 2023.”
