Actor Okemesi dies after health battle

Popular Yoruba actor Bamidele Tope Saint, fondly called Okemesi, has died following health complications.

It was gathered that the Nollywood actor passed away while receiving treatment at a hospital on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

The news of his death was confirmed by fellow actor Tony Montana, who disclosed in an Instagram video that Okemesi slipped into a coma after complications linked to medication administered during treatment.

According to him, doctors later pronounced the actor dead at about 11:50 a.m.

Montana also revealed that the late actor’s remains have been deposited in a mortuary, adding that the family would communicate further burial arrangements.

He expressed appreciation to fans and colleagues who had shown support during the actor’s health struggles.
