Ajimobi’s wife heads to Rome as Nigeria’s ambassador

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Fatima Florence Ajimobi, widow of former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi, as Nigeria’s ambassador to Austria.

Her posting was announced in a State House statement on Friday listing the foreign missions assigned to the country’s newly confirmed ambassadors.

Ajimobi, a former First Lady of Oyo State, was nominated as a non-career ambassador and confirmed by the Senate in December before the latest diplomatic postings were approved.

She will represent Nigeria in Vienna once agrément is received from the Austrian government and after completing the induction programme organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
