Anambra PDP governorship candidate shot in Abuja

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the forthcoming election in Anambra State, Jude Ezenwafor, has been shot by gunmen in Abuja.

It was gathered that Ezenwafor was shot around the Wuse 2 area of Abuja on Friday night.

The PDP governorship candidate was said to be returning from an appointment when he was shot by unknown gunmen.

EFCC probes 18 governors for corrupt practices

Ezenwafor has since been receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the nation’s capital.

“I’m currently in the hospital. The doctors are making efforts to operate me so that they can pull out bullets from my body,” Ezenwafor told Leadership newspaper on Saturday.

The PDP and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
