The Progressive Governors Forum has endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
The APC governors declared this at the party’s National Summit in Abuja on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
The endorsement, which was moved by the forum chairman and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, was seconded by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.

Uzodimma, who spoke on behalf of the governors, emphasised the commitment to mobilising resources and ensuring victory for Tinubu in their respective states.
The APC governors expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and reforms, promising to deliver their states in the 2027 general election.
The latest endorsement follows similar moves by other APC regional leaders, including the North-Central governors who recently passed a vote of confidence in Tinubu’s administration, commending his developmental strides and inclusive governance approach.
