The General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministry Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has lashed out at some pastors over the death of popular gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, who gave up the ghost on Friday.

Apostle Suleman, in a tweet on his verified Twitter account on Friday, said Okposo disclosed to him how some pastors treated the singer.

The cleric stated that many pastors posted Okposo’s pictures after his death but failed to reach out in his trying times, adding that “love has left the church”.

Suleman wrote: “Now they post his picture but never reached out in his trying times.

“He told me what pastors did to him and we both wept. Love has left the church.

“We have more ‘lawyers’ who are ready to judge than intercessors ready to restore.

“Rest in power my brother. You conquered!”

The Star recalls that Okposo, in January, this year, confessed and publicly apologised for cheating on his wife, Ozioma, with a United States-based lady.

The lady, identified as African Doll, had earlier disclosed that she was pregnant for Okposo, adding that the gospel singer asked her to terminate it.

The singer later apologised to his wife and family for having an affair with the lady.

Okposo’s apology, however, received wide condemnations for cheating outside his marriage as a man of God.

His name was later removed from the list of artistes to participate at the music concert organised by the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja following the adultery scandal.
