Former Big Brother Naija contestant Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Dee-One, has described his decision to join the reality show as a mistake.
Dee-One, a comedian, was part of the Double Wahala season in 2018 but was evicted after just 22 days.
Despite his brief stay, he remains one of the show’s most recognizable alumni, largely due to his controversial social commentary videos on social media.
In a recent interview, Dee-One said the show did not significantly benefit his career.
“Big Brother Naija was a mistake that happened in my life. Big Brother did not really help me like that,” he said.
He also pointed out that many former contestants struggle to establish themselves outside the Big Brother house. Dee-One singled out two notable alumni, questioning Kiddwaya’s public image and advising White Money, season six winner, to focus on his culinary skills rather than a music career.
“There are a lot of people who went to Big Brother Naija who today are struggling with what to eat.
“White Money was one of the people who encouraged me to start talking online.
“He knows about the jollof, but the music is not.
“Kiddwaya is not as rich as he portrays himself.
“Why is he living a fake life?” he added.
