‘Behind The Scenes’, a Nollywood movie produced by Funke Akindele, has emerged as the highest grossing Nigerian film of 2025, raking in N1.32 billion at the box office.
The rankings was compiled by FilmOne Entertainment and released on its official Instagram page.
‘Gingerr’, a comedy drama that enjoyed strong audience reception nationwide, secured the second position with a gross of N522 million.
‘Oversabi Aunty’, a family comedy that resonates strongly with cinema audiences, claimed the third spot after grossing N480 million, while epic fantasy movie, ‘Ori: The Rebirth’, ranked fourth with N419 million in box office earnings.
‘Reel Love’, a romantic drama that explores relationships and modern love, placed fifth with N356 million, while historical epic ‘Iyalode’ followed in sixth position by earning N306 million.

‘Labake Olododo’, a period drama inspired by Yoruba folklore, occupied the seventh position with N264 million, while comedy fantasy, ‘Owambe Thieves’, took the eighth spot after grossing N205 million.
‘The Herd’, a socially conscious drama that highlights conflict and survival, secured the ninth position with N193 million in ticket sales.
Rounding off the top 10 is ‘Abanisete: The Ancestor’, a historical drama that grossed N164 million, reflecting continued audience interest in culturally rooted storytelling.
