Blord joins Sowore’s revolution team after Kuje prison release

Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, declared himself a member of the “Revolution Team” shortly after his release from Kuje Prison in Abuja, aligning himself publicly with human rights activist Omoyele Sowore.

Blord made the declaration in a video shared by Sowore on Tuesday, in which he spoke about his detention, bail proceedings and gratitude toward those who supported him.

In the video, Blord disclosed that he had no prior relationship with Sowore before his intervention, saying the activist stepped in solely upon learning that he was being intimidated. He noted that his bail hearing had originally been scheduled for April 27 but was moved forward following pressure from Sowore.

Blord said he was already en route to Anambra when he made a detour to personally thank the activist, adding that Sowore presented him with a beret — a symbol of membership in what he called the “Revolution Team.”

The “Revolution Team” is associated with Sowore’s #RevolutionNow movement, a civic mobilisation campaign that advocates against corruption, insecurity and governance failures in Nigeria.

Blord had been arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges of impersonation and forgery linked to the alleged unauthorised use of the image of activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

The dispute between the two men traces back to October 2025, when Blord advertised what he described as an “iPhone XR converted to an iPhone 17 Pro Max,” a claim that drew public accusations of misleading business practices.

Prior to the VeryDarkMan episode, Blord had faced separate allegations in 2024 relating to cryptocurrency fraud and regulatory breaches.
