BUA Group has honoured 510 of its employees with a total of ₦30 billion during its 2025 Night of Excellence and Long Service Awards, one of the largest private sector employee reward initiatives in Nigeria.
The ceremony celebrated loyalty, dedication, and exceptional contributions by staff, with service tenures ranging from five years to over four decades.
Speaking at the event, Founder and Executive Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu CFR CON, described the awards as a recognition of the resilience, commitment, and shared ownership that employees have demonstrated throughout BUA’s journey.
“Every factory built, every system strengthened, every challenge overcome, and every milestone reached carries the imprint of employees who believed in the vision long before the results were visible,” he said.
During the ceremony, 41 employees received their awards on stage, representing the highest categories ranging from ₦100 million to ₦1 billion.
Sixteen recipients received ₦100 million each, nine received ₦200 million, seven received ₦250 million, three received ₦500 million, and five received ₦1 billion.
A special award was presented to Kabiru Rabiu for his outstanding loyalty and leadership, while other awardees received their plaques and cheques at plants and offices nationwide.
Rabiu emphasised that the awards are a tangible expression of appreciation for decades of dedication and personal sacrifice.
He reiterated that BUA regards its workforce as partners in a shared legacy, not merely staff, and promised continued investment in the company’s growth across cement, food, sugar, and infrastructure sectors.
The BUA Night of Excellence and Long Service Awards reflects the Group’s commitment to long-term thinking, shared prosperity, and recognition of employees’ pivotal role in building one of Nigeria’s most valuable companies, which has grown over 36 years into an enterprise with a combined market capitalisation in the trillions of naira.
