Buhari orders probe into Imo monarch’s murder

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security agencies in Imo State to thoroughly investigate the heinous killing of the traditional ruler of Obudi-Agwa community in Oguta Local Government Area of the state, Eze Ignitus Asor, and others.

This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

Buhari, who condemned the killing of the traditional ruler, also directed the security agencies in Imo State to ensure that the perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.

While commiserating with family, friends, the Obudi-Agwa community, as well as all those affected by the attacks, the President prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

President Buhari hailed the spirited efforts by the Imo State Government at improving the security situation just as he urged all Imo residents and citizens to robustly support the collective efforts of the state actors and members of the local community to keep everyone safe.
