Buhari returns to Abuja after 2 weeks in London

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, May 16, returned to Abuja after attending the coronation of King Charles III in the United Kingdom.

The President’s aircraft landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Buhari departed Abuja on May 3 for the coronation of King Charles III on May 6, 2023.

Buhari was scheduled to return to the country after the coronation ceremony in London but his spokesman, Femi Adesina, on May 9, said the President will be in the UK for an additional week at the behest of his dentist, who was attending to him.

Adesina noted that the specialist required to see President Buhari in another five days for a procedure which had already commenced.
