Nigerian singers Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid have received the highest nominations for the 2024 Africa Arts Entertainments Awards (AAEA).
Davido was nominated in 12 categories, followed by Burna Boy with 10 nominations, while Wizkid was nominated in seven categories.
The three musicians are competing in several categories, including AAEA Best Continental Male Artiste and AAEA Continental Artiste of the Year.
Nigerian singers Rema, Tems, Omah Lay, Yemi Alade, Asake, Tiwa Savage, Simi, Majeed, Lojay, Ayra Starr, and Kizz Daniel also got some nominations for the awards.

The AAEA, in a statement on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, said it celebrates the achievements of African musicians, honouring their talents and success.
Some categories of the award include Best Continental Male Artiste, Continental Artiste of the Year, Continental Album/EP of the Year, Best Continental International Feature, Best Continental Afro RnB Hit, and Best Continental Afro Rap Fusion Hit, among others.
This year’s edition of the award is scheduled to take place in Kenya on August 17, 2024.
